Dr. Judy Kim is a board-certified family physician committed to delivering compassionate, comprehensive care to her patients. Growing up in Los Angeles, Dr. Kim was involved in the world of health from an early age. Her family ran a health food store and restaurant, which exposed her to nutrition, and instilled in her a deep appreciation for the connection between healthy lifestyle and overall well-being. Inspired by her parents’ dedication to serving others, Dr. Kim pursued a medical career that values connection and whole-person care.
Dr. Kim earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of California, Berkeley and completed a post-baccalaureate premedical program at Harvard Extension School. She then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
Throughout her career, Dr. Kim has practiced across various healthcare systems, most recently serving at UCSF as the Medical Director for Primary Care (Internal Medicine, Family Medicine and Pediatrics). These experiences have allowed her to contribute to the growth and development of healthcare services within the community. Her dedication to teaching has also led her to mentor medical students at multiple institutions including UCSF, UCLA, and the University of Chicago.
Dr. Kim joined Peninsula Doctor due to her alignment with the team’s mission and values, emphasizing deep connection with patients, high-quality care, and a community focus. She values the practice’s commitment to thorough diagnosis, current research, and shared decision-making.
Beyond her medical practice, Dr. Kim enjoys creating cookie art, playing tennis, learning golf, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
